Waxed canvas is a wonderful alternative to plastic without using leather AND my favourite, multiple outer pockets secured with zippers. Many are fond of the look of waxed canvas because with use it takes on a well-loved vintage feel.  

2 options to choose from:  

OPTION 1:  A phone-sized pocket in the back of the bag.  

OPTION 2: A 3-inch belt loop option to be crossbody strap free.  (see drop-down options)  Either way, there are many pockets for such a small bag.

I like to make the straps for crossbody bags extra-long to fit over a bulky winter coat permitting easy access to your phone and other crucial items.
