Excellent for bag making and embroidery, Pellon® SF101 Shape-Flex® is an all purpose, woven, fusible interfacing. It provides crisp support for collars, cuffs, yokes, pockets, facings, and other detail areas of a garment. It can also add body and permanent stability when used as a backing for needlework and punch embroidery. When fused to cotton it gives the fabric structure and a well supported item giving it a professional feel.
Shape-Flex® is intended for light to medium woven and knit fabrics, including oxford cloth, chambray, gingham, madras, tattersall, pincord, flannel, and polyester/cotton blends.

Machine wash warm. Tumble dry medium, or dry clean.
Iron at wool/steam setting..
To pre-shrink, fill a sink with warm water. Place interfacing in water for about ten minutes. Do not put in washer or dryer by itself or you may loosen the adhesive. Gentle squeeze out excess water and allow to dry.
NOTES: Always pre-test with a swatch of your fabric prior to use to make sure it is compatible with the fusible. It is recommended to pre-wash all fabrics to remove any coatings that might interfere with the fusible. Do not use fabric softener when pre-washing. This interfacing does not require pre-shrinking.
TIPS: When combining Shape Flex with other fusible interfacings, such as Fusible Fleece, first fuse the Shape Flex to the wrong side of the fabric before adding the Fusible Fleece. More tips on the interfacing liner.
